Three more weeks to go and I’m free! We basically decided that completing 88 days individual days in our current situation wasn’t likely to happen but luckily we have completed the 13 consecutive weeks, so we should be fine. I have actually done bloody 16 weeks!

We’ve been on this farm for 4 months now, it would be so shit if it didn’t get accepted. Regardless, the main reason for coming to Australia in the first place was to travel and its pretty easy to forget that when you get caught up in things.

Living in Australia - Farm Work

We’ve set a date to start our travels and already booked everything so its finally official – were ready to leave!! I’m going to do a tour of the Whitsunday island the weekend that I finish work just as a celebratory kind of thing. Megan has been on it before and said it was amazing. I’m so excited

T left last week to go to Bali. His friend from home went over to meet him so he’s having such a good time. He’s sending me photos all the time which are making me super jealous considering I’m here covered in mud all day. It wont be long until I’m over there with him though. 5 more weeks and counting.

Not much has been happening here, standard. A new bar opened up right next door and it is a country themed ‘night club’. It is actually, (dare I say it) pretty good. Everyone from the hostel goes over on a weekend after pre-drinks. It’s pretty cool to have somewhere to go where you can just dance. There is also a mechanical bull in there which is pretty dangerous when you’re drunk.

I’ve already torn my groins 3 times throughout my lifetime from playing Football, so I told myself not to go on it as I knew i’d end up getting hurt.

The issue was, that was when I was sober, and drunk me thought it was a fantastic idea. On the opening night, as soon as I got in there, I ran straight up to the bull, signed some sort of contract and hopped on. I surprisingly lasted a pretty long time. It was topic of conversation for the remainder of the night, and the following few days at work. Apparently, I was hugging the bull, holding on for dear life, arse in the air. Everyone found it very amusing. I just remember my head severely spinning around in circles. I woke up the next morning feeling like I had been hit by a bus and covered in bruises.

Today were going to watch the McGregor vs Mayweather fight. We managed to get the day off work to be able to watch it, which is a massive achievement in itself. We’re heading down to the GV to watch it in the beer garden – not really that fussed about the fight, I’m just going for the day sesh 🙂
