Insure Expats is a third-party agency that offers very competitve insurance policies to expats in Spain. The idea began when two frustrated expats living in the Canary Islands realised how complicated the system was to get insured. They knew it didn’t need to be this difficult, and so they created this company to help foreigners get all types of insurance cover.
The Project
We created this professional-looking website to showcase the services that they offer. I included many contact capture forms throughout the website to encourage viewers to get in touch. We chose colours that most people would associate with insurance companies, and also that represent trust. I made sure to include their core values and message, which they believe makes them different to their competitors: Open 7 days a week, best quality policies and discounted rates.
One of the many reasons that a viewer will abandon a website or buying process is because they feel overwhelmed. Insure Expats offer an incredibly simplistic process and we made that very clear throuhout the site. They are also able to provide insurance cover on a Saturday afternoon, which is mostly unheard of in Spain. It’s their Unique Selling Point (USP).
We made that clear.
Search Engine Optimisation (SEO)
The Insurance niche is extremely competitive. The likelihood of a brand new website ranking highly, and organically through SEO is slim. However, I SEO’d the back end of the website as I do for all of my clients, and created some ‘hidden’ location pages that are fully SEO’d. These pages can only be found if someone directly searches for the search term. The idea behind this, is to get the website to at least rank organically for local areas, to drive traffic to the site.
They are hidden as the client doesn’t want to be tied to single locations.
This website was just published a few weeks ago so I will add an update here once we see some results.
