So, you’re in Lanzarote or are coming to visit and are wondering how to find el bosquecillo. The good news is, it’s really easy.

The Bosquecillo is hidden from the main road so you wouldn’t know it was there unless you’ve heard about it. This makes it pretty special.

There are barbeque areas at the top if you want to take a picnic with you and you’ll be joined by lots of local families who spend a few hours up there taking in the views.

The bosquecillo is hands down my favourite view point on Lanzarote and I highly recommend going to check it out.

How to find El Bosquecillo, Lanzarote

You’ll be happy to hear that “El Bosquecillo” actually shows up on Google Maps now!

It’s up towards Haria and the best way to find it is using Maps. This is because the turning up to El Bosquecillo isn’t very clear from the main road. It’s easy to miss.

Things to look out for: The Giant ball shaped landmark on the hilltop (radar station) + the restaurant Los Helechos located on the top of the hill overlooking Haria below.

Things to know

Getting to the Bosquecillo can be a little bit challenging, especially if you have a small car. The dirt road is only wide enough for one car, so if you unfortunately meet another one coming in the opposite direction, one of you will need to reverse. I personally would refuse as I’m not good at going backwards, especially on a tiny dirt road with potholes! 😛

In terms of the conditions of the terrain, it’s doable for small cars. There is just one small part that is a bit trickier to navigate but you can do it. Once you arrive at the fork in the road, just after the farm on your right hand-side, turn right. There is a car park once you arrive.

How to find El Bosquecillo

PHOTO TIP! There is a really cool rock that seems to have been created (by mother nature) for Instagram. You’ll see what I mean you get there. It’s the perfect “insta rock” – To find it, when you arrive at the car park, walk towards the cliffs. On your right hand side you will see a play park, and you are going to walk left up the hill. Keep walking for a few minutes and you’ll find it.

I don’t want to spoil it so I’m not going to show you a photo of it!

When is the best time to visit El Bosquecillo?

The best time to visit El Bosquecillo is definitely just before sunset. It is the perfect spot to watch the sun go down over Famara and the rest of the island.
